Cookie policy
Short version
This website sets no cookies and loads no analytics, ads or third-party scripts. It keeps a few small settings in your own browser (below), which never leave your device. So there is no cookie banner.
What is stored in your browser
- buildlanes-theme
- Your light or dark choice, after you tap the theme button. localStorage, kept until you clear it. Necessary.
- qk-lang-hint
- Remembers that you closed the "this page is also in …" hint. Only once translations exist. Necessary.
- qk-tool-to-excel
- The barcodes you scanned in the barcode scanner to Excel tool, so a refresh doesn't lose them. Stays in your browser; clear it with the tool's Clear list button. Necessary for that tool.
- qk-tool-handoff
- Passes a result from one tool to another when you tap a "check this" link. sessionStorage, gone when you close the tab. Necessary.
The free tools read your files in the browser and don't upload them. Cloudflare, our host, delivers the pages and may set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm) only if it needs to tell people from bots; that cookie is strictly necessary and holds nothing about you.
If we add analytics later
If we ever add website statistics that use cookies, we will name the service here, list its cookies, and ask first with a banner where "Reject" is as easy as "Accept". Nothing optional will load until you say yes, and you can change your answer any time.
How to clear it
Clear this site's data in your browser settings (Safari: Settings › Safari › Advanced › Website Data; Chrome: Settings › Privacy › Delete browsing data). The site works the same without it.
