This list holds 25 different codes on the web (repeats still count up). Download it, clear the list and keep going. For bigger counts, batch scan in the iPhone app has no such limit.
The list stays in this browser until you clear it, even if you close the page. Up to 25 different codes per list.
Added. On iPhone, batch scan counts every code as you point at it and exports to Excel or CSV, with no limit.
The iPhone app- 01
Start scanning
Press Use camera, click the type box and use a hand scanner, or choose photos of the barcodes.
- 02
Check the list
Each code appears at the top with its type. Repeats add to the quantity; fix counts and add notes in the table.
- 03
Send it to Excel
Download Excel or CSV, or press Copy for pasting and paste into cell A1 of Excel or Google Sheets.
Three ways to scan
Camera: press Use camera and move from item to item. Each new code is added with a short buzz; the same code within a couple of seconds is ignored, so holding still doesn't count twice.
A USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner: click the type box and scan. Most hand scanners type the number and press Enter, so each scan becomes a row. Photos: choose several pictures at once and every code in them is added.
Counting, not just listing
With Count repeats on, scanning the same barcode again adds 1 to its quantity instead of making a new row, which turns the list into a stock count. Change any quantity by hand, add a note (a shelf, a price, a condition), or remove a row.
The list is saved in this browser as you go, so a reload or a closed tab doesn't lose it. Nothing is sent anywhere. Excel downloads keep barcodes as text, so leading zeros stay.

How do I scan barcodes into Excel?
Scan them here with a camera, a photo or a USB scanner, then download the Excel file. Or plug in a USB barcode scanner, click a cell in Excel and scan: it types the number into the cell.
Can I use my phone as a barcode scanner for Excel?
Yes. Open this page on your phone, scan with the camera, then download the file or send it to your computer. The iPhone app can also export scans to Excel.
Does it work with a USB barcode scanner?
Yes. Click the type box and scan. Hand scanners act like a keyboard and press Enter after each code, so every scan becomes a row.
Why are leading zeros missing in my CSV?
Excel treats long numbers as numbers when it opens a CSV and drops zeros in front. Use the Excel download, which keeps every code as text.
Will I lose the list if I close the page?
No. It is kept in this browser on this device until you press Clear list. It is not synced anywhere.
Is there a limit?
One list holds 25 different codes here (scanning the same code again still counts up). Download it, clear the list and start the next one; it stays free. For bigger counts, batch scan in the QR Code Scan Kit iPhone app has no such limit.
Can it scan QR codes too?
Yes. QR codes, Data Matrix and all common barcodes are added the same way, with their type.
