Batch scan barcodes and export them to a spreadsheet
Batch scan keeps the camera running and adds every new code to a list; scanning the same product again counts one more, so you can count stock on a shelf. Review the list, change counts, save it to a folder and export a CSV file that opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
- 01
Turn on Batch
Tap the batch key under the camera. The title changes to Batch scan.
- 02
Scan item after item
Each new code lands in the tray below; the same code again adds 1 to its count.
- 03
Review
Tap Done to see the whole list. Change any count with + and −, or open a row to see its card.
- 04
Save or export
Save all to a folder, copy them, print the list or export a CSV file.
A real count
A small shop counts a shelf of jars: scan each jar, and the list shows each product once with how many there are.
CSV that opens anywhere
The export is a plain CSV file with the code, format and count, so it opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Leading zeros stay as they are.
Folders per place
Keep one folder per shelf, room or shop and export each folder on its own.
Import a list
Import a CSV to make codes from it, for example labels for a list of products.
- Scans stay on the phone: there is no cloud sync or shared team list. Share the CSV instead.
- It counts what you scan; it doesn't keep stock levels or reorder alerts like full inventory software.
Can I scan barcodes straight into Excel?
Batch scan the items, then export a CSV and open it in Excel. On a computer, our free Barcode scanner to Excel tool does the same in the browser.
How do I take inventory for a small business with a phone?
Use batch scan one shelf at a time, save each to a folder, then export the CSVs and combine them in a spreadsheet. Our inventory template has the columns ready.
Does scanning the same barcode twice count it twice?
In batch scan it adds 1 to that code's count instead of making a new row, so the list stays one line per product.
